Bis 1908 hieß sie Bergbahnstraße, 1933 wurde sie in Robert-Wagner-Straße (dem damaligen &lt;lex id=&quot;bio-0064&quot;&gt;NSDAP-Gauleiter in Baden&lt;/lex&gt;) umbenannt und bekam 1938 ihren alten Namen wieder. Die Turmbergbahn wurde 1888 in Betrieb genommen. Damit ist sie die älteste, in Betrieb befindliche Standseilbahn Deutschlands.
