Die Eugen-Langen-Straße im Stadtviertel <lex id="top-1531">Killisfeld</lex> im Karlsruher Stadtteil <lex id="top-0558">Durlach</lex> ist eine Querstraße der <lex id="top-2836">Wachhausstraße</lex>. Sie wurde 2002 nach Eugen Langen (9. Oktober 1833 - 2. Oktober 1895) benannt. <br />

Langen besuchte das <lex id="ins-0909">Polytechnikum</lex> in Karlsruhe und gründete zusammen mit Nikolaus August Otto in Köln 1864 die N. A. Otto & Cie. KG, die erste Motorenfabrik der Welt, aus der 1872 die Gasmotorenfabrik Deutz AG wurde. Mitarbeiter in der Konstruktion und der Fertigung waren dort auch Gottlieb Daimler und Wilhelm Maybach. Er erfand mit Otto auch einen atmosphärischen Flugkolbengasmotor, der auf der Pariser Weltausstellung 1867 großen Erfolg hatte und die Goldene Medaille erhielt. Langen hatte auch wesentlichen Anteil an der Erfindung des Otto-Motors. In Köln nannte man Langen auch den "Patent-Langen". Sein bekanntestes Projekt war die Wuppertaler Schwebebahn.<br />
