Die Inselstraße im Karlsruher Stadtteil <lex id="top-0506">Daxlanden</lex> beginnt als Sackgasse östlich der Kreuzung mit der <lex id="top-2157">Pfalzstraße</lex>, verläuft dann weiter westwärts vorbei am <lex id="top-2444">Schlaucherplatz</lex>, der Einmündung der <lex id="top-1070">Hahnenstraße</lex> und der Kirche <lex id="ins-1300">St. Valentin</lex> bis zur Kreuzung mit der <lex id="top-2223">Querstraße</lex> und <lex id="top-2833">Vorderstraße</lex> und geht dort in den <lex id="top-2840">Waidweg</lex> über. Die Straße hieß bis 1938 Mittelstraße und wurde dann nach dem Daxlander Gewann Insel in Inselstraße umbenannt. In der Straße gibt es neben der Kirche St. Valentin ein weiteres Gebäude, das unter Denkmalschutz steht: das Fachwerkhaus in der Inselstraße 17; das Wohnhaus einer ehemaligen Hofanlage ist wohl 1723 erbaut worden. <br />
