Mit der weitgehenden Fertigstellung des ersten Teils der Waldstadt (heute Waldstadt-Waldlage) 1963/64 verschwand die Trasse der Jägerhausstraße zwischen dem Jägerhaus und der <lex id="top-0363">Blankenlocher Allee</lex> (heute <lex id="top-2718">Theodor-Heuss-Allee</lex>) völlig. Die Bebauung der Waldstadt-Feldlage führte schließlich zur Auflassung der Straße bis zum Hagsfelder Ortsrand. Ein Teil des ehemaligen Verlaufs lässt sich in Form eines Fuß- und Radwegs parallel zum südlichen Seeufer sowie eines kurzen Stücks der <lex id="top-0936">Glogauer Straße</lex> noch erahnen.</div></td>

Die Jägerhausstraße im Stadtviertel Alt-Hagsfeld des Karlsruher Stadtteils <lex id="top-1064">Hagsfeld</lex> geht von der <lex id="top-2522">Schwetzinger Straße</lex> – als Fortsetzung der <lex id="top-0430">Brückenstraße</lex> – in nordwestlicher Richtung ab und endet an einem Wendehammer an der Bahnlinie. Von dem Wendehammer geht ein Radweg in nördlicher Richtung entlang der Bahnlinie weiter. Vorher gehen ein Rad- und Fußweg ab, auf dem man nach einer Unterführung die <lex id="ins-1231">S-Bahnhaltestelle</lex> <lex id="top-0920">Geroldsäckerweg</lex> erreicht.<br />
<br />
Bis zur <lex id="ereig-0214">Eingemeindung</lex> Hagsfelds nach Karlsruhe 1938 hieß die Straße Eggensteiner Straße. Sie wurde nach dem einstigen Gasthof Jägerhaus auf dem Gebiet der heutigen <lex id="top-2859">Waldstadt</lex> umbenannt. Das Jägerhaus war bis vor einigen Jahren eine Gaststätte mit gutbürgerlicher Küche. Seit etwa 2005 ist das Gebäude zu einem privaten Wohnhaus umgebaut. Hinter dem Haus liegen die beiden Jägerhausseen. <br />
