Die Schinnrainstraße im Karlsruher Stadtteil <lex id="top-0558">Durlach</lex> beginnt an der <lex id="top-1114">Hauptbahnstraße</lex> und verläuft über die <lex id="top-2228">Raiherwiesenstraße</lex> zur <lex id="top-0369">Bleichstraße</lex>. Die Straße hat keine Blockrandbebauung, vielmehr liegen im Norden freistehende Wohnhäuser und im Süden die unterschiedlich dimensionierten Gebäude der Richtwohnanlage. Sie erhielt ihren Namen 1913 nach einem Flurnamen, der einen Abhang bzw. eine Hanglage ="rain" bezeichnet. Im Pfundbuch Durlach von 1598 ist von „im Schin“ die Rede und in der Beschreibung aller in der Markung Durlach liegenden Äcker, Wiesen usw. von 1763 von „Schinrain“.<br />
